FAQs

How do I book a portrait?
Request your portrait by using the booking form - once the photo, size and dates are agreed, pay the 50% deposit.

Do I get to approve the portrait?
I work in an alla prima technique, which means each painting is completed wet-into-wet in a single sitting. Because of this, I do not offer revisions or approval stages. When you commission a portrait, you are commissioning my artistic interpretation of your pet’s character and expression.

What photos work best?
Clear, well-lit photos where I can see your pet’s eyes and personality. (You can send multiple and I’ll help you choose.)

How long does it take?
Each portrait typically takes 2-3 weeks depending on my waitlist, but turnaround times are faster during the holiday sprint. I will confirm your estimated delivery date when you book. I also have an optional add on for express orders.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, upon ordering, I’ll be able to give you a quote for additional shipping costs and this will be sent with the final invoice.

Can you paint more than one pet?
Yes, each pet is painted as its own portrait. I offer bundle pricing if you would like multiple portraits. I do not paint more than one subject per painting.

What size do you offer?
6×6" is my core holiday size, with 8×8” and 10×10” available upon request.

What materials do you use?
Professional artist-grade oil paints and mediums for long-lasting color and quality.
