FAQs
How do I book a portrait?
Request your portrait by using the booking form - once the photo, size and dates are agreed, pay in full up front.
Do I get to approve the portrait?
I work in an alla prima technique, which means each painting is completed wet-into-wet in a single sitting. Because of this, I do not offer revisions or approval stages. When you commission a portrait, you are commissioning my artistic interpretation of your pet’s character and expression.
What photos work best?
Clear, well-lit photos where I can see your pet’s eyes and personality. (You can send multiple and I’ll help you choose.)
How long does it take?
Each portrait typically takes around 5 weeks depending on my waitlist. I will confirm your estimated delivery date when you book.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I can give prices for additional shipping costs - this will be due for payment up front along with the commission.
Can you paint more than one pet?
Yes, each pet is painted as its own portrait and prefer not paint more than one subject per painting.
What size do you offer?
6×6" is my most popular sizes, with 8×8” and 10×10” but I can work to larger scales, just let me know what you’re after.
What materials do you use?
Oil paints and mediums for long-lasting color and quality.
