I was born in Northwest Louisiana and later moved to North Carolina with my family, where I studied art at Northwest School of the Arts. My technique and palette are heavily influenced by German abstract artists, Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer and Austrian artist, Egon Schiele.
In my work, I aim to convey the subtle ambiguity of cognition; what we believe to be true and untrue and how our brain manipulates pattern.
I now live and work in Northeast England where I am co-founder of Newcastle Artists Society Ltd. in Newcastle Upon Tyne (www.newcastleartistssociety.com). I also co-found another project this year called Liberty + Main, which is a design studio with a focus on quirky cards and custom stationery (www.libertyandmain.com).
